EesTeck 1.5" Release Plastic Buckles 1.5"-2 Pack Black CHAKOU15

Bought to replace a buckle my son shut in the car door on an REI backpack. Loaded to 45lbs for a hike this week and broke on the first click. Luckily I had a carabiner handy to use as a makeshift buckle. Absolute garbage but needed to get one shipped quick due to the pre-planned trip.

The first one lasted one year after being used as a buckle for the waist strap for a backpack that is used about 3 months out of the year. The catch wore out, but other than it not staying latched, I couldn't see a difference, so it must not have much material difference between functional and worn out. The second one lasted one week after someone had stepped on it with tennis shoes on a concrete floor. Most of the buckles of this type that I have used have lasted years, and can be stepped on. The buckle that originally came with the backpack, for example, was slammed into a car door (I have broken many buckles in this manner), but it survived everything else. I guess that I am simply looking for something with greater durability. At least they are cheap!

I keep having bad luck at finding the perfect buckles to replace the broken ones from my car protective dog-mat. So fa, all I was able to find was those claiming to be 1.5", but at the end ended up to be much bigger than described.Finally I found those, which are the perfect size. Plus, they come with a set of five, including some spare buckles (see photos). For the price, that was a total bargain! 😁Construction seems to be good, but like with all those kind of plastic clips, if you play too much with it, it feels likes it could eventually break.

My young German Shepherd decided to chew off one of my Ascend's buckles. I've made do without it mainly because I couldn't figure out a search term for the part. "Buckle" didn't come to mind and I didn't feel like spending the time searching.Once I figured out what to search for and found them, I ordered 3 sizes. Two of the one I needed and 2 more for other possible uses. My favorite tool belt comes to mind.These are perfect! Sturdy. Perfect fit. Perfect replacement. Sometimes it's the little things that make the hiking go better.

Needed new buckles for my hiking pack, tried them out for the first time yesterday and they won't stay latched. Super frustrating when you're in the woods with no options. Ended up having to tie my straps together just to get through.
