Best cake pan I've ever bought
I love the sharp corners. I thought it would be hard to get the cake out, but it slid out soooo easily... I actually broke my first cake because I didn't realize how fast it would slide out. Haha 10 out of 10

Good cake pan!
If you need a heavy duty non-stick cake pan, Chicago still makes one! It's a disgrace that they have to go to China to manufacture them though.

Baking cakes is a fun thing for me. I am baking my daughter's birthday cake in April. All of my cake pans have been used many times, and they look like they have been through the war. Time for new ones! I needed 3 9in round cake pans for a Lemon BlueberrybCakecwith a Cream Cheese Frosting.As luck would have a new cookbook I ordered, "The Complete Cookbook For Two" by America's Test Kitchen arrived, and as part of this marvelous cookbook, they have kitchen tools and essentials they recommend. The Chicago Metallic Commericial II Non Stick 9 Inch Cake pans were recommended as an essential tool. I have never been disappointed by America's Test Kitchen recommendations, and, indeed, these are great pans. I grease the cake pans, add round parchment paper, split the cake batter evenly throughout the 3 pans and baked the cakes. They came out perfectly, and were they ever delicious! I washed them by hand, but you can put them in a dishwasher. Very nice cake pans!
I bought two of these pans about a year ago but didn't review them until now because I wanted to use them several times before reviewing them.Now that I have used these pans I feel confident in recommending them. They bake evenly, they release well, and they clean up easily. I love the feel of these pans--they are sturdy and substantial-feeling. Speaking as someone who has done a fair amount of baking in her life, there's something pleasing about the feel of quality products. These pans have that quality feel and they're attractive too (not that attractiveness is really all that important for a cake pan but it's a nice bonus). I think these pans will last a long time but if I need to buy more pans anytime soon, I will order these again.The only drawback that I've noticed is that these pans don't nest so if you have limited space that could be a problem.Edit: My initial review reported that these pans release well and gave them 5 stars. However, the last two times I used them I had a terrible time with the cakes sticking in the pans. Maybe I'm not preparing them well enough but it's been a disappointment to not have the cakes come out of the pans cleanly. One of the times the cakes stuck, I ended up making a "bowl cake" (I put the cake pieces in a bowl and layered them with icing) because they stuck so badly that I wasn't able to reassemble the cakes into anything resembling what they should have looked like. I will experiment with different prep methods and see if I can find a way that works well but for now I've downgraded to a three-star rating.

A solid investment
Very thick and sturdy metal. Nice, perfectly straight sides, which is important in a multi-tiered cake. Most pans have slanted sides that flare out a bit, which make them easier to stack, but doesn’t work as well for a 3-layer cake. This one I was specifically looking for nice 90 degree edges between the side and the bottom, and the cakes turned out perfectly with no slanted edges. Cleaned up super well with no sticking using cooking spray. Definitely recommend—you get what you pay for and you’ll be using these for many many years to come.

Good pan, but water stuck in seams when washed
Great pan, cakes come out nicely, but when you wash it, water gets stuck in the seams, and keeps seeping out for a while as it dries. Is creating some rust inside the seams.

Quality product
Over the years, Chicago Metallic has made significant improvements to their non-stick coating. I just used it for the first time to make a Streusel Sour Cream coffee cake. Wow. Love it.
