Keeps hands warm far below 0F
So far the coldest I have ridden with these is -20F but they are working well so far. I commute by bicycle year round here in the interior of Alaska and cold hands were always my biggest problem.

Definitely help keep your hands warmer, but could slow braking if your hands are outside the mitts.
They definitely keep your hands warmer. I only tested them on a day with temps that stayed in the low 40s the whole time. I had to remove the Velcro-attached cuffs that are attached where you insert your hands, as my hands were getting too warm. Normally, I would not use these bar mitts on a day in the 40s, as they are not really needed for temps that high. In the future, I’ll use them whenever the temps are mostly in the 20s to low 30s. Above that (up until about 45F), my lobster gloves (with liners and hand warmers) are fine. The main con to using the bar mitts is the restricted movement of your hands. It’s not hard to pull them out, but if your hands are on the bars or in the drops, and you need to hit the brakes quickly, that could be an issue. Maybe with practice, re-inserting your hands will become easier. Nonetheless, definitely going to lose a fraction of a second at least. So be aware of that.

Good improvement to the original
I ordered these to upgrade my older ones.I dont like wearing bulky gloves when riding so this is a great option for those who are iffy on paying a lot of money for winter-specific gloves that might not work that well.I like the removable hand inserts. You can basically have 4 different protection modes when riding (covers+hand inserts+gloves, cover+inserts+no gloves, covers+no inserts+gloves, covers+no inserts+no gloves) to easily adapt to your weather conditions.I commute in very cold temps in NYC (20 degrees and below) during the colder winter months and this helps so much.I could only wear $15 gloves with these covers in 10-20 degree weather and feel just fine.

Little ovens for my HANDS!
An excellent product for insane cyclists like myself that will ride no matter how cold it is.These are really lifesavers for my vulnerable hands. They are neoprene with a thin fleece lining.A few issues: They come with a front covering with a slit. This circle is attached with velcro and removable. I imagine that they keep your hands warmer, but I was anxious about how "trapped" my hands felt inside. I need to be able to signal cars, make hand turn signals, and help block a fall.I removed this barrier. It tightens with velcro on the narrow end. The wide end also tightens with velcro, but the velcro was not long enough. I rigged a velcro strap through a hole and around my handlebar, and it worked perfectly. But this is a mild design flaw for wider handlebars. They are not so warm that I can go without winter gloves.I have ridden down to 14 degrees with 6 degree windchill.A great hack is to throw 1-2 hand warmers inside the Bar-Mitts, at the bottom. You have your little hand oven for your ride!I recommend them highly for any winter cyclists who suffer from cold hands. Now, they need to invent PEDAL-MITTS!

A nice idea, but they push my jacket sleeves up ...
These are superb, but I feel overpriced. I upgraded from the standard Bar Mitts which don't have the zipper. In spring and fall, riding with the old ones became a hassle as I would take them off on warm days, and put them back on for cold days. This model with the zipper eliminates that hassle as I can just unzip on warm days and zip up on cold days. The included cuffs are so-so. A nice idea, but they push my jacket sleeves up my wrist when I insert my hands, leaving a small gap of exposed skin. I can cinch down my jacket cuffs tighter to avoid this, but then I'd have to adjust them again in order to remove my jacket. Bit annoying.

Once the body gets warmed up I'm good to go
I ride year round and have ridden temps down to 20F although 32 is normally my cutoff. Once the body gets warmed up I'm good to go, the only body part I have a constant issue with is fingers. I have big hands and long fingers. I've tried many bike gloves, some from respected brands and have been let down. Some are certainly better than others especially for wind block, none resolve the issue or wearing huge ski gloves. This product is the best solution I've seen on the market and recommended to me by other cold weather riders, North and fat bike snow riders.I use them more for cold rides over 1.5 hours. Ironically we've had abnormally warm temps this season since I bought these but plan to hold on to them - a definite keeper in my cold weather kit collection.

It nice when something is exactly as advertised
These are fantastic. I rode all winter. Down to around 25 with the wind chill. I can wear regular gloves, fingered gloves, or warmer gloves depending on the weather.
