Bushi No Ichibun, Kakushi Ken, Tasogare Seibei - Original Soundtracks

If you have seen any of the three films by director Yoji Yamada that comprise his "Samurai Trilogy:" Twilight Samurai, The Hidden Blade, or Love and Honor, then you know what restrained inspiration is. The selection of composer Isao Tomita to compose all three scores was no less brilliant than that of the overall films themselves. Tomita is able to remain faithful to the great Japanese tradition in music but present it in his own contemporary stylings. The end result for each film, but in particular, Twilight Samurai and Love and Honor, is an introspective but evocative musical experience. This CD contains highlights that easily capture the essence of each film.The only drawback is for those who do not read Japanese. All of the track titles and notes are written in Japanese only. Still, it's the music that matters and so I have no hesitation in recommending this disc to you. If you love and appreciate these films and Isao Tomita's contribution, look for the best price, but whatever that amount turns out to be, pay it. You'll be glad you did.

La música es realmente buena, creo que la trilogía de Yamada vale mucho la pena. Me refiero a las películas, pero también a la banda sonora.
