This is a refreshing, clean fragrance – but not in a shaving cream or detergent way – that reminds me of being in a field during summerlike weather but without any floral smells. The vanilla notes seem to come out more when my face and beard are warm and damp, but it quickly fades. To me the patchouli scent trails the vanilla and lingers longer, giving it an earthy-musky, manly aroma. I’ve not detected any of the citrus notes. The wife and daughter have all said they enjoy the smell of it on me, commenting on how clean it smells.This oil is thicker and more viscous than other oils I’ve used. Three squirts are just enough, but other than that, the viscosity doesn’t seem to make much of a difference that I’ve noticed. I love the bottle’s squirt dispenser because it’s more convenient than the traditional eye dropper – you don’t have to worry about knocking over the bottle.My beard is softened and conditioned thoroughly, and I can use it twice a day without feeling over-oiled. It feels good in the beard – and the aroma makes you feel good – and seems to absorb nicely.Overall, it seems like a quality product that I would purchase again.

This beard gel does a decent job of moisturizing and conditioning my beard, but I am not a fan of the scent at all. It was advertised as a mix of leather, oak, and burbon. It doesn't smell like any of these. It has a muted foul smell to it. I gave it a shot, but after a couple of uses, I just can not use it. Blech!

Bossman beard jelly is by far my favorite beard product I own. I would recommend it to everyone who has a beard... And I often do, as a matter of fact. My only wish would be that the jelly would have a little more hold to it. I understand that it's meant as an oil alternative, but with it having a bit of thickness to it where oil doesn't, it would be nice if there was also a little hold as well, but overall, I have no real complaints at all. Great product!

Love this easy to travel size beard oil bottle. Good smelling, without being over bearing, and a little goes a long way, and keeps your bread looking its best.
