Product was really as good or better than expected. The soft plastic gave a very nice, tight fit in the RJ45 port, and the beveled pull tab was really good for adding a tag with a string attachment, reserving the port. I've used other products that were made from hard plastic and didn't stay in the port very well. These are perfect!I used these to plug the ports on switches in industrial and dusty areas, in exterior switch boxes, and to label switch ports for VPN use. Color choices are accurate and perfect for my needs. Ordered on Friday, received on Monday. I couldn't be happier with the product or service!

Great little dust covers for unused ports. The red color is nice for visibility. Easy to insert and remove - stay put without slipping out.

Disliked the bulkyness of it.

These are great, hi-vis plugs so you can identify unused ports in a server rack at a glance rather than craning your head to see if there are any unused ports if the switch is installed in a tight location, such as a wall-mount position where you cannot always get your eye level to see the available ports. With these installed it protects the ports and allows me to identify immediately the location and quantity of any unused ports

Product is very useful in a dusty and dirty environment. It is also very identifiable with its color.

R.J. Enterprise's RJ45 dust covers fit perfectly and remain snugly within an RJ45 jack and, most importantly, remain in the jack regardless of orientation. They do not dislodge due to gravity or accidental contact.As far as similar items sold on Amazon go: Note that at least one other RJ45 dust cover product (currently on Amazon) appears designed for pins-at-the-bottom orientation and will not stay in place if your panel outlets (or devices) have pins-at-the-top of the female jack/receptacle. R.J.'s covers do not have this problem.100 out of 100 covers fit perfectly -- without flaws.

I bought these for moving our large server room to a new location. Since we have redundant providers for both internal and external services on top of our standard/virtual servers I don't want to have a "what plugs where" situation when the equipment reaches the other site. I am using several colors to set up a quick reference (black means not connected, green is internal, red is external, etc.). This approach has worked very well for me in the past.

Surprised at how well these simple dust cap covers work. Just soft enough to be pliable to ease installation on a wall mounted rack. We have a number of switches located thru a manufacturing facility, and these keep the unused ports clean until we need to plug in another cable.The grasp shape make it easy for insertion / removal.
