Amazon Brand - Umi Duvet 225x220cm All Season DuvetThe duvet I ordered was king size, normally I would expect a huge bag or box to be delivered, but that was not the case here. This duvet arrives packed in quite a small box for such a large item, it's not overly heavy either. The reason for the small size is that the duvet is supplied heavily compressed within a tough plastic bag, so be careful with any knives or scissors when opening the box. To de-compress, just snip off the end of the bag and the duvet will quickly regain it's original size. I did find after a few hours it became a little more plump as the fibres inside had a chance to reform and take on some airspace between them.'Umi' is an Amazon own brand, but don't let that put you off. I have checked out many of Amazons own brand products and have found them usually to be good quality products. This duvet is no exception as the quality of this far exceeds our existing duvet which cost more than this does. This is made from 100% cotton exterior with 100% polyester filling inside. The outer material looks tough and unlikely to tear or split, it's also breathable which should help prevent overheating and sweating. The inside has a polyester fiber filling which is both lightweigt and warm, there is no stiffness to it and doesn't make a noise when you move around in bed.This was a perfect fit for our duvet cover, it was easy to fit due to it having small tags on the corners and side to grab hold of to stretch the duvet out within the cover. There is no risk of clumping or of the filling moving around inside the duvet due to it being separated into square pockets that are sewn through both sides, each square pocket contains it's own filling which remains in place.The duvet is described as 'All Season', it is rated at 10.5 tog which is a little high for us for summer use, but it certainly will be used as soon as autumn approaches. Our bedroom does retain a lot of heat, so this duvet might work well for someone who has a well ventilated cool room. The bottom line is: This is a good quality duvet that is both soft and comfortable, it's easy to fit, silent at night and does not become hot and sweaty - What's not to like?Thank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

This Amazon branded "UMI" duvet is a top quality item. It's not the cheapest duvet that you'll find but, as they say, "You get what you pay for.". This is a higher-end product and when you retrieve it from its vacuum packed bag it puffs out, a bit crinkled, but ready to use.The 100% cotton cover has a sumptuous feel to it and I particularly like the faint stripe that is woven into the fabric. I think it lifts the duvet cover from a boring plain cotton. The duvet is not at all heavy, and also not too thick and that's great news for sleeping under. Over the years we have got through a fair number of quilts and one thing we have definitely learned is that "the lighter the better". It's one of our main considerations when purchasing a quilt... even taking priority over the tog rating to a point. I reckon that this UMI duvet has a good deal of warmth to offer, but also breathes well and seems to have good ventilation (so it shouldn't be uncomfortably warm). The tog rating is 10.5 (a little higher than we normally use).We will probably pop on a cover to match our bedroom, but at the moment the crisp white (and now ironed!) appearance of the UMI duvet looks great just with its own cover. It's such a lovely pristine white.The 'stuffing' feels super-soft and does not tend to bunch up at all. It actually feels 'slippy' inside the covering when you scrunch it up in your hands - and that's a good sign because it's got the feel of a feather down duvet, but obviously it's a synthetic hypoallergenic fiberfill. It should allow good circulation and also have 'breathable' qualities. There are no squeaky or rustling sounds as you move the duvet around... it seems totally quiet, suggesting very little friction in the filling.I cannot really fault this duvet. It's clearly top quality and the King Size that we ordered is a great fit on our bed. Really looking forward to many very comfortable nights' sleep under it.

This Amazon brand (UMI) duvet is amazing.It comes so neatly packed in a vacuum bag that you wonder how this small package is ever going to be a King Sized duvet but as soon as you open the bag you can hear it expanding out. Once fully opened I left it for 5mins to breathe and fully expand and once it had the material was all lovely and soft with a nice soft cushioning to the duvet.Its divided into square section so all the filling doesn’t end up at one side and this allows space your air to breathe while keeping you warm at the same time.I’ve used it for a week now and I have to say I am very impressed with it, warmer nights it’s been great and the more recent colder ones it’s still kept me warm. I do think that all season is stretching it a little much as when it was really hot the other week it would have been too warm and when its middle of winter you might want something a little thicker, but certainly for 8-9 months of the year this is now going to be my duvet. For years I've always had duck or goose down filled quilts and loved them. Because Summer is here and it's too warm for my feathered quilt I got this 10.5 tog alternative quilt to give it a try.I was surprised how nice it feels . How comfortable it is and how nice a nights sleep I got using it.I'm so used to my down quilt it came as a shock how this 1 felt. I might be converting to 1 of these for Winter it's that good. We will see how it goes during Summer though.I'm giving this my highest mark or 10-10 and not many things I buy get that but this is well deserving of the top marks.Top quality product. Price my put some off but it's well worth buying. Will last for years. Would recommend this to anyone.
