Loved the book
I loved the book so much that I posted this on my Book Club Social media pageThis HAS to be posted - in the middle of the night! Why? Because we HAVE to tell someone what we've found. The world is asleep and we just do not have the patience to wait till morning. Can we shake someone up? No?:(🤔Social media to the rescue !💡Phew! The feeling of being able to get it out there is exhilarating. Just saved ourselves from bursting!Found this gem - @Woof! Adventures By The Sea by Aparna Karthikeyan (who's definitely lived in the hearts of beautiful creatures, who she understands and deeply loves) beautifully illustrated by Sagar Kolwankar and published by the Westland imprint Red Panda.A wonderful, delightful, charming, refreshing, heart warming, magical book! Recommended for all dog lovers. No for all children maybe. Actually no. Maybe for all humans! (or maybe for dogs as well). This is a book about dogs on a beach and their life. There are humans who impact the lives of these in a lot of ways. In the voice of dogs, the book moves you, makes you laugh, compels you to believe in kindness and yet shows the harsh realities of life.On one hand, you have people feeding and adopting strays and on the other you have people abandoning them for various reasons. But there's hope because they learn to survive. They feel for others of their kind. They do have their conflicts but they learn to deal with them. As you read the book, you feel all the emotions of dogs, their friendships, their journey through different seasons, ages and with all kinds of people. There are good dogs and 'bad'. But we promise that you'll fall in love with each one. And be grateful to all humans who care for them!‐--------I don't know if this will get posted with my review but do be aware that this publishing house - Westland, was bought over and shut down by Amazon. There are many such books by wonderful authors which are not available anywhere now. I gave the first book that I'd bought to my niece and bought two more copies now so that I have them before they get completely wiped out

Feel good and heart warming story
I have been struggling for past few years to adopt an indie from the streets. It’s series of rented house and angry neighbours that has stopped me. This book gives me hope that one day I can have my Puchu and Singhmo. My Thug is called Kalia.

A must read for anyone who loves dogs or has been loved by a dog
Remember those books you read as a child, where three siblings visit their cousin in a village by the sea and after initially being apprehensive around each other, they settle down and have adventures together?'Woof' is exactly that book. With one small difference; the protagonists are canine, not human.Singmo, Poochu, Krya, Thin, Coconut, Thug. With a few deft words, Aparna Karthikeyan draws pen portraits of each of the characters, and they come alive in all their idiosyncratic glory.A must read for anyone who loves dogs, whether or not they are owned by a dog. And a clarion call for everyone- an Indie is no less than a pedigree dog.

A moving and enjoyable story.
This book has become my 7 year old son's favourite. The book has had such an impact on my son that he has started to write his own story featuring dogs. He wants to grown up and create a country for dogs where he will care for all rescues. You are sure to enjoy and be moved by this book. If you have ever befriended a dog, you will love this book.

A child's delight- woof!
My 8.5 yo boy loved this story of kindness and even recorded opening and climax in his log book. In his words, woof is an emotional & heartwarming story of a dog called Shingmo. Highly recommended for dog lovers for they'll appreciate this jewel and for people who fear dogs too!

Warms the cockles of my heart. Awesome Pawsome!
'Woof! Adventures By The sea' by Aparna Karthikeyan warms the cockles of my heart. This story will be with me for a long, long time. I love dogs and they love me back - forever 😂 Aparna is so generous to share the adventures of her 2 furry darlings, Puchu and Shingmo with their beach homies who are proud of their Disreputables clan: Krya, Thin, Coconut, Lola, Thug and The Twins. (I remember them all 😍). This has to be the cutest story I've read in all my life. I am high on the cuteness overload.😍 I so want to give each of these little ones a big squishy hug and belly rubs. Can we also talk about the illustrator Sagar Kolwankar's gorgeous doodles? I wish I could purchase a physical copy of this book for memory's sake. Truly a heart-warming story. I love you all little fellow!!!. You stole my heart. Thank you so much, Aparna Karthikeyan for putting a smile on my face. Woof woof! ♥️♥️♥️5 pawsome stars and more!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟#aparnakarthikeyan #sagarkolwankar #ninerupeesanhour #woofadventuresbythesea #woof #thepuchudiaries #igreads #bookstagram #kindle #kindlereads #nationallibrarysingapore #nlbsg #readingnationsg #decemberreads #singaporereads #doglovers #dogsofinstagram #dogs #puppies
