Exactly what my carnivorous plants need! And plenty to last a while.

I got this, last year, to use in some of my plants. I've actually gotten it a few times. You don't get much but, it is so clean! It is so soft!! It holds up incredibly well and stays damp for a long time but, no mold!I needed to make moss poles so, this was WAY too expensive. I went with a brand marketed for plants, specifically orchids. It was on the recommendation of a friend who grows houseplants to sell. While it's a substantial amount for about $6, it was completely full of sticks and such!! I hate it!So! I'm coming back to this. I won't be making poles with it but, it's PERFECT for doing a moss and chunky perlite mix, in small, clear pots for my baby/young airoids and alocasia corms!!I do have snakes. If I needed moss for them, I'd get this in a second!!I only wish this came in much a bigger amount.

Habe lange nach einem Sphagnum Moos aus Neuseeland gesucht, da es die beste Qualität hat und nachhaltig produziert wird. Hier habe ich es gefunden! Sehr hochwertiges, fluffiges und langfaseriges Moos. Kaum Verunreinigungen. Dass es sich hier um getrocknetes Moos handelt, sollte einem anhand der Bilder klar sein 🙈Das Moos ist nicht gepresst, sondern locker, was den Einweichprozess abkürzt. Dadurch ist aber natürlich noch weniger im Karton. Für so einen kleinen Karton ist es schon ein stolzer Preis. Er reicht gerade mal für ca. 2 kleine Töpfe. Trotzdem es ein tolles Substrat ist, werden also nicht viele meiner Pflanzen diesen Luxus genießen können. Angeblich kann man trockenes Spaghnum Moos aber ja “reanimieren” und dann selbst züchten (wen es interessiert, gibt dazu viele Videos), das werde ich nun mal versuchen.Einziger Kritikpunkt: Die Verpackung. Ich hatte bereits Moos im Amazon Umschlag liegen und es krümelte aus dem Karton. Erstens wird der Inhalt so noch geringer, zweitens können auch super leicht Feuchtigkeit und Keime eindringen, besonders wenn man den langen Transport aus NZ bedenkt.

Great product, holds moisture really well, has more bulk and doesn't fall apart like traditional moss that have been using for years. Wish I had tried this sooner and as long as this stays available I definitely won't be going back to the old stuff.
