I have a bad habit of losing dog leashes and they're so ridiculously ...
I have a horse and would definitely use it with her, but she's quiet, the clip is really light weight, so if I had a jumpy horse I would be hesitant. I ordered it with the intention of using it as a dog leash. I have a bad habit of losing dog leashes and they're so ridiculously overpriced! This is perfect for a dog leash and you can't beat the price. I definitely recommend it.

Its alright for the price.
Its okay for the price. A short, slim, cotton lead rope. The clip is small but heavy duty. Not recommended for trailer use, or large (or aggressive) horses, but perfect for small horses and trail riding. If you want a sturdy lead rope for daily use and trailering invest in a good strong lead rope. This will not be suitable for daily rough usage.

I thought this purchase was great. The only problem was that I had ordered different colors but received all one color.

Perfect for small hands
I've worked with horses for over 40 years and lead ropes with this smaller clip have always been my first choice. They are easier to handle, quick to attach to the clip on a horse's halter, and quick to release from the halter. I particularly like these lead ropes for children. Their hands are small. They just can't manage those bigger lead ropes with heavy clips. So if you're in the market for the best lead rope ever, these are good. I bought a bunch and really need to buy a bunch more so that I never lose this source. I'd like to add also that the clips are strong. They are not breaking.

..... There is tape on this to keep it from fraying and unravelling. Only tape.

You get what you pay for
I was disappointed to find the clips were very small, almost too small to attach to some halters. They are cheaply made, with 'staples' holding the clips on, which do not require a lot of pressure to open and release the clip.They are very cheaply made and they were very cheap...so I guess you get what you pay for.

The metal piece that holds the clasp on is a little cheap- very strong but looks cheap. Very soft rope, but the price was right!
