Constructed of stainless steel, the breakout power rod reduces internal gear and bearing stress. Ceramic eyelet reduces line wear. This rod threads into the vise reel seat.

I Hate Fixing New Items...
First, this power rod is heavy duty. I think it will be fine now that i fixed the tip. When I received this new in package power rod, the eyelet was crooked. When I touched it I realized why, the glue, what little was used, had failed.I thought about returning it but I already had JB Weld mixed for another project and this power rod didn't need much. The toughest part was aligning it straight and since I am a perfectionist, it took me ten minutes of fiddling.Now that the JB Weld has cured, this thing is awesome! Consumers shouldn't have to fix new items though. I will say, the glue looked like a contact cement or E6000 type glue but whatever it was, it didn't work with my item. The inconvenience cost this otherwise heavy duty power rod two stars.

Not for muzzy
Very strong but it is a little short for the muzzy reel.

Won't work with Muzzy Pro XD
This item does not work with the new Muzzy XD Pro reel. The new built in mount for the reel sit back further under the reel, causing this rod tip to hit the spool housing when trying to tread it in. Amazon recommend the two items together. Rod tip quality seem good, not been able to us it since it won't screw on.
