I initially purchased a Talisman "Footlove" electric callus remover about 5 yrs. ago; loved and used it regularly until the battery started wearing out and the AC plug-in recently cracked. I am hoping this Zoe & Ruth product has similar longevity.I was elated to find this similar designed Zoe & Ruth product on Amazon. This appears to be a nicely designed quality product, maybe slightly more compact overall and slimmer as to thickness. I have no clue what your reference to "sheerness" means in your review questions since thickness and sheerness usually refer to the same dimensions.I think the angle of the head is perfect for effectively working under the feet. The rollers are also more compact than the Footlove unit and, so far, seem to work very well. The motor also seems to be a bit more powerful than my old unit. I also like the fact that the power supply cord and adapter has been upgraded to a more contemporary USB type. And, finally, someone used their head and designed a wonderful storage case, a much welcome accessory that most of the other manufacturers of this product seem to over-look...KUDOS!Time will tell, but so far I'm very much impressed with this product. Fortunately, because I've been using an electric callus remover for several years, I don't have the heavy calluses that a lot of men get, especially if they need to be on their feet a lot in their work.HINT: Some of you have indicated that the rollers stops if pressing hard. Unless you have a defective unit or the battery is wearing down, YOU SHOULD NOT BE PRESSING HARD. This key element of this type of product is the SPEED by which the rollers operate in conjunction with using rollers with the proper grain based on the condition of your calluses. Think of it like an electric sander and you should know that it is the varying speed and type of belts or pads that you use that make the difference...not pressure.

First let me start out by saying that the customer service from Zoe+Ruth is truly appreciated. There was a problem with the first one and sadly I returned the item. I was immediately given credit and contacted as to what happened. Long story short, I received a coupon to try this device again and I gladly accepted.After I had my second child, I developed flat warts on my feet and ankles. My diagnosis was given to me by my family dermatologist who performed a skin biopsy. The ones on my ankles really bothered me and as someone who loves to wear heels and open to sandals, this was a constant problem. Although I regularly went for pedicures, the relieve was short lived. Over time I upgraded to spa pedicures, which means that the lady would use scrub gel on my feet and ankles. I noticed that this scrubbing provided me with relief. However, as I got older the problem persisted. I decided to try a pumice stone and that worked as long as the stone held up. I decided to look for something that would provide the same relief and longer. I did my research and decided to try a callus remover. My research led me to Zoe+Ruth and so I order one.Now as for the product, the second one was delivered in a well packaged box and the handy carry case is much appreciated. I have had this product for over a month and used it three-four times. Instantly I saw results as dead skin just peeled off . I applied lotion to my feet and ankles right after use. I did not press too hard as it is not needed. The callus remover wheels provide just enough of roughness to get the job done. I will probably have to change the callus removers as I noticed the ones used have lost most of the roughness. The cost for them is minimal and considering the relief, it is well worth it. I will also charge it too.I like the convenience of having this tool and I can use it when I need it. The trick to this tool is knowing how to use it. I strongly suggest reading the directions first. My personal recommendations- don't use the device too long on same spot-spread around area evenly to prevent soreness. Also, rub lotion or petroleum jelly on areas used by callus remover.Great product!

I am completely pleased with my Callus remover. I have delt with foot problems for years due to arthritis, Overpronation, bunions and the resulting pain of calluses on the ball of my foot and side of one big toe. Standing any length of time made my feet burn and felt as though there were pebbles in my shoes. Now that I have the Rechargeable Callus Remover I can, by using it regularly, eliminate a lot of pain! It is great to be able to recharge it. I find cleaning it with the included brush and a quick rinse with water a snap. The sturdy case the Callus Remover comes with is very nicely fitted with the USB charger, cleaning brush, user guide and even two replacement rollers. I have zero complaints with this item. I cannot say enough about my appreciation for Zoe+Ruth Customer Service. The communications I have had with them have been been far above average customer care and the person helping me was very helpful and personable. I am so glad to have found this company and to have less foot pain thanks to the Callus Remover!

Purchased this after reading the reviews and am not disappointed. I charged it for the 10 hours needed for the first charge and used it for the first time and I was amazed at the power! I would say I have light - moderate dry skin and callouses on my heels. In less than 5 minutes, my stained (from wearing black sandals) callouses were gone! I still have a few cracks but I think that after doing 5 or so minutes a day of filing, these will be gone soon too. No need to press hard (if you do, the rotations stop). Just run it lightly over the callouses as they are filed away. I recommend doing this outside if possible, a lot of dust (skin particles) flies up.Note: I get pedicures once every 5 weeks or so and this is great for maintaining a smooth heel in between. A must for the sandal-wearer that I am! Giving it 4 stars because I have only used it once so far so I can't speak to its longevity.Also, the fact that it comes with two replacement heads and a nice carrying case is awesome!
