Two week trip - Excellent Results
Having used this pack every day for the past two weeks in England, I am very happy with it. The material seems a bit weird at first , but in actual use, it was fine. The material has a plastic coating which is good for keeping the rain out. The zippers are great and are easy to open. It's not a big pack, but it's very light and good enough for a day's supplies and things you might buy. I carried a rain coat, umbrella, book, tablet computer, and some food. The straps are a fine size and don't slip. There are four pockets for different items. Two things could be improved. The pockets for the water bottles could be a bit taller. I attach my water bottles to the pack with a string so that I don't lose them. They also give you an address tag, but it fell apart. I also like to use this pack as my airline under the seat bag. This is one of my best buys in quite a while.

Similar to the packable day pack sold at REI for $29.99
This pack is similar to a pack that sells at REI for 50% more ($29.99). Quality of construction seems sturdy for what this bag is. Anyone who thinks that this is for text books and/or laptops will be disappointed, it is quite a small back pack. This pack is great for hiking, going to the beach or pool and general light duty use. Has a decent amount of pockets for a basic day pack and an internal pocket for your valuables. I am impressed with the value of this pack and have no regrets making this purchase.

Perfect for our "on the go" needs.
Bought this for an upcoming vacation and needed something that would comply with Spirit's Personal Baggage dimensions so that I would not be charged a carry on fee. It is smaller than your normal backpack but is made for an average adult body. I love that it will hold drinks on both sides of the bag. I don't plan to bring much with me on my flight, an iPad, snacks, drinks, and maybe a book with room to spare for small items I plan to buy while on my vacation. This bag is similar in size to those drawstring backpacks. The two zippered pockets are nice to keep smaller items separated.I'm currently using it as a diaper bag for my toddler. It holds 6 (size 4) disposable diapers, large changing pad, travel pack of baby wipes, a mini first aid kit, small bottle of medicine, sun block, small bottle of baby wash, a "doggie poop bag holder" (for soiled diapers), change of clothes, wet bag, and a snack cup. The drink holder holds a sippy cup. Perfect for our "on the go" needs and I can keep my hands free while chasing my child. :)

Great backpack for traveling!
Lightweight, folds neatly into carrying case, and has lots of pockets for items as well as pouches for bottles along the sides. All in all, a great backpack for carry-on.

Got much more than I expected
I bought this to take to a week-long festival in the woods. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived to find it sturdy with good, long, PADDED straps and three zipper compartments ! during the trip I was delighted to find that it performed well with light to medium loads and was at the very least water-resistant. I would consider using this on wilderness day hikes as long as one is not creating trail. For 'bushwhacking' the fabric is probably too flimsy, but I'm sure it would be fine for short to medium trail hikes. I'll consider buying another one !

Happily Surprised!
I'm taking swimming lessons and needed something to put my wet suit and towel in. This was perfect! Thanks to the other comments, I will be taking it on the plane with me as my personal item. I love it so much, I'm considering purchasing a second one.

We all love them! I wanted them to be able comfortably ...
I bought two of these for my ten and twelve year old daughters. We all love them! I wanted them to be able comfortably carry their own things while going places in the neighborhood and camping. The packs are very lightweight, but they are big enough to hold a jacket, keys and water or a bathing suit and a towel, with room to spare. There are plenty of little zipper pockets to put things in and mesh pockets on both sides of the pack. Large water bottles do tend to slide a little if you're hiking around. So far the kids have been using them to go to the pool and the park and they are working out great. The straps are comfortable and can be adjusted to fit a child or adult. They are made of a mesh fabric, but they do have a small amount of cushioning in them. I'm not sure how the fabric will hold up over time, but for $20 I will be happy if I get a couple of years out of them.
