This is a fun costume that I bought for my Lincolin-phile daughter. She's a teen and about a size 12 woman. It fits her but is trifle snug. The hat needs to have something stuffed up it to make it stand up. Using newspaper works fine. The beard has no adhesive, so you might want to buy an expensive beard separately. This is a hoot of a costume. They pack costumes in their summer camp gear, and sometimes spend the day as - well Abraham Lincoln at assembly, etc. It makes wonderful memories, and it's fun, so what more can you ask from a costume? I don't expect it to stand up to too many washings (I would wash it inside a pillow case and hang it up to dry), but I also didn't pay a lot, so there's the trade off. I wish they made it a bit larger.

Did not fit properly at all.Hat was unusable.Beard was a pure joke, super small, impossible to fix, look no way like advertised.Should have read other comments before, was a waste of my time and had to find something else before returning it.

But I was incorrect!The beard is completely useless: it's too small, the hair was falling out all over as soon as it came out of the package, and it doesn't come with adhesive. So, I drove down the street to the Halloween store and bought a better one (with adhesive) for $6.The hat is almost useless: as another reviewer remarked, if you roll the cardboard insert from the packaging into the hat, you can get it to stand up. OR for $8 head back down to the Halloween store down the street- which is what I did.The shirt/vest/coat is pretty much what you pay for: Cheaply purchased and cheaply made. If you're only going to wear it for one night, who cares? My husband is 6'3" and about 175lbs and the shirt is too short in front... it doesn't cover his waist. His shoulders are broad, but they fit... hopefully he isn't planning to do any jumping jacks.Let's be honest (HaHa!) Abe Lincoln was a tall slim guy, so if you're going to dress up like him, you should have his build. That being said, I think they should market this costume as a small or slim fit, not one size fits all.

It's a good costume for the price. Nice that the beard is included.It was pretty badly wrinkled when unpacked. The instructions say 100% polyester and "do not iron". Polyester can be ironed, so I took a chance. I recommend to go ahead and iron it. Just use a steam iron on the coolest setting for steam. It worked great, and it looks crisp. I even ironed the hat over a large coffee can. The wrinkles came out and it looks great.
