Contradicts other key health considerations (cholesterol)
I am a fan of Jason Fung.He writes in a simple and clear style, with evidence and detail, using relatable case studies. It is compelling. So I had high hopes for the accompanying cookbook, but I should have taken note of the numerous poor reviews. If you're buying this book it's probably because you've had a wake up call about your health.However... If you have high cholesterol, or want to make sure you don't get it, then don't buy this book. A high percent of the recipes have a tangible amount of butter, dairy and feel contrary to healthy eating approaches. The whole chapter on eggs is indicative of what comes next!Good points: explanation of what fasting does and why it can work; easy to follow recipes; grocery list (and everything is reasonably accessible); photos of all the dishes.

Quantities for recipes only given American style.
The recipes are fine but working out the quantities is difficult as they are given in American style cups on only ml equivalent given. Europeans use weights for anything that is not liquid so this makes ingredients rather difficult to work out.

Great selection of easy to follow recipes
Bought this for my parents and they love it! My dad has struggled with dietary changes after being diagnosed with diabetes but they’ve really enjoyed cooking with this book. They’ve found the recipes very easy to follow and enjoyed the meals they’ve made.

Excellent as you would expect.
I often buy cook books. This one from Dr Jason Fung is excellent.Very good quality hardback. Plenty of colour plates and pictures.Already made two of the recipes.Extremely helpful if you are Diabetic or even Pre-Diabetic., or anyone wanting loose weight and eat healthily.Informative, simple to understand and one of the best books I have.Would recommend.
