MUST READ!! Like most of the reviews I was highly disappointed that the color change feature not working. Today we contacted the manufacturer direct to make a complaint and they informed us that the doll head comes in an activated mode. You need to take a warm wash cloth to wipe it off. THEN you can get ICE COLD water to do the color changes again. This worked out well and now we don't have issues. Hope this works for you too. I just wish they'd put that on some instructions or on the outside of the box!!

My child has had this toy for almost a year and it is still one of her go-to toys. The color changing is finicky (I needed to use a hair dryer to un-activate the makeup and the water needs to be super cold to re-activate) but it does work. Mostly, she does her hair. We also received a lower-quality, smaller Barbie head that she never uses - I think it's worth getting this one instead of saving money, as the smaller ones have really thin, sparse hair. Belle is rocking some dreads by now and looks a little ratty, but she's had pompadours, buns, pig tails... you name it.

Bought this for my daughter’s birthday and it was a hit between my 2 girls. They carry it from room to room and love styling the dolls hair. The additional hair color strands on the clips are not attached for versatility. However I would have preferred it still be bound/glued or sewn together so it would not shed or strip as easily. They love the idea of practicing doing her nails as well. Good buy.

Okay, so my daughter loved it. I read the reviews about the color change not working. I decided my daughter could still do the hair and put her pretend make up on if it didn’t work. When I opened it i used hot water to remove the make up, which came off no problem. The only way to get it back however is straight up ice. I ended up giving my daughter an unopened otter pop to use as a “magic make up wand” lol. The hair is okay, kind of thin in the middle. Also two of the hair extensions came off the hair clips on the first day. Overall I would recommend this for the creativity involved for the kid, but it is a bit overpriced for the accessories that make it the deluxe version of this product not to work how they should for a kid to easily use it.

Well let me start by saying, I read another reviewers comment about first doing a WARM washcloth on the lips, eyes and nails and THEN do the cold and it worked like a charm with removing original color. HOWEVER..... then applying the cold water did not bring the color back.... so that sucks. the violet eye shadow has a pretty big "dot" or "blob" on the left eye.... and there is what appears to be black paint on the base. Which both were noticed right away by my 7 year old when she opened it for her birthday. for what you pay for this toy... disappointing. Esp since she has wanted one for months. She is currently waiting to see if "she waits long enough" the color will work again. Kinda sad to watch.
