Please note that there are multiple versions of the 9550 laptop. Some of them come with a 2.5" drive slow. This specific battery will not work for those devices. This will fit the models without the 2.5" drive slot (i.,e., just taking out the drive won't make it fit).I purchased the wrong unit based on the assumption that all the 9550s were the same. The seller was helpful in trying to make things right.

The battery lasts not even a week ... the battery counter does not increase (always zero) and the laptop refuses to charge the battery. The serial number are the same for all these batteries (5385).

The battery arrived on time and as expected. It was difficult to install, but we knew that it would be due to the type of computer we own. Fit our Dell XPS 15, 9560.

I bought this as a cheaper alternative to the Dell brand battery. Worked fine for a couple weeks. Then I noticed it lost a lot of its charge. Then after a few weeks my computer just kept "shutting down" out of nowhere. I couldn't have my computer running for more than 5-10 minutes without it going through the shutting down process. After spending tons of time diagnosing the problem, I found out it was from the battery.Had to replace it with a Dell brand battery and everything works fine now.Would not buy this.

Everything so far is as described. I haven’t had a chance to use the laptop much. Installation was simple.

Install battery; battery works; that simple

Battery level suddenly drops from 61% to 1%. Charged fully and tested again. Laptop in power off status, battery drained after 2 nights. Furthermore, the screw holes on the battery do not seem to match the laptop. Only 5 of the 7 screws can be installed.I had to return the second battery purchased together. Same issue, suddenly drops from 68% to 6%.

I have been using the Battery for 3 days so far. It does last up to 3-4 hours. However it does not charge until 100% and it stops at 86%.The battery stopped charging completely after 1 year of usage. It started to stop charging and recharging after 8 months but completely died after a year

My laptop died and wouldn't power on even when plugged in. With much trepidation I ordered this battery. (I opened up the laptop and confirmed that I could easily remove the old battery first.) The new one was exactly right and was really easy to install. The laptop is working perfectly again.

I got this for a used Precision 5530 I had with a nearly-dead battery. It worked quite well, but recently I noticed the battery not lasting as long as I remember. A battery report later and this battery had already degraded down to nearly 30% of its design capacity in only 2 years! If you are looking for a long-term replacement battery, I would recommend an OEM DELL one. It may be more expensive, but it will last you longer.

Quick and easy swap, worked well. Haven’t had the batt in long enough to rate the quality but so far so good.
