Dual hoses means 2, not one
It would be beter if it had dual hoses like the description says. I researched portable air conditioners, before I settled on this one. Dual hoses are the best, based on the reviews on the product, I choose this one, well it only had one hose, not 2. This is way 2 big to send back will keep it. Someone should let the seller know that the discription is mis represented. For the amount of money I spend,I should get a partical refund because they was only one hose and not two like the wynter brand.

No Customer Support
When I purchase this unit I registered with Midea. The unit would occasionally cause the circuit breaker to trip so I called customer support and was told that it was a weak circuit breaker or overloaded. The unit had a 1 year warranty with 3 years on the compressor. At 27 months it will not run at all on cool without tripping the breaker. Changed circuits and it still blows the breaker. Called again and after 8 different calls Midea can not give me a HVAC company that will repair the unit. I have called 12 different HVAC companies and have been unable to find a technician. The latest contact with Midea I was told to just go buy a new unit. This company is environmentally irresponsible and can offer NO customer support.

Thankful on 100° days
Bought my unit at Fred Meyer's at the beginning of the summer, and it keeps smaller rooms very chilled. It doesn't do great with the living room and kitchen, but that's pushing the recommended sqft.

Very good deal for a portable
Works very well for cooling my bedroom, which has the side-sliding window. I ended up buying this at Fred Meyer on sale for $299.99. Very good deal for a portable. Installation was a breeze. Doesn't take up a lot of room. The hose tucks away quite nicely under my curtain. As of now, I have no complaints. Just waiting for the next heat wave to really test it out.

Careful on A/C hookup
No idea if it works - i thought the description said it was a stand alone unit but it does have to be exhausted if you want the A/C part of it. returning it :-(
