IMO, these porcelain bulb holders are superior to plastic for utility light fixtures. The instruction sheet that comes with this item is clearly written and easy to understand, even if it's your first time trying the installation as a DIY job. Two mounting screws, plus a spare, came in the package. A nice touch is that the package also had a sheet of foam inserted between the two holders so that they would not easily chip or break each other. If the installation instructions are carefully followed, the job should be handily completed. Be sure you turn off all power on the circuit, and also be sure to strip (if necessary) and form a hook on the bare wire ends, plus arrange the hooks on the screws so that they will tighten down properly. Be sure you are connecting each wire to its proper screw. The illustration on the sheet is very clear about all of this. Follow it, and I predict you will have a positive outcome.

I had some old porcelain lamp holders that were damaged throughout the years. This set of two replaced the old ones. The hardest part of installation, which wasn't really hard, was knocking out the inner mounting holes to fit by bolt pattern. The screws to hook up the electrical wiring were easy to get to and once tightened, held the wires very well. Overall great price, quality product and easy install.I recommend this product to others.

Solid porcelain construction as described. Could use some extra space in back to accommodate wiring and make a perfectly flush wall mount easier to obtain.

They work and come with clear directions. That being said there is not much to the part to begin with. Would have been content with purchase but one was cracked. Look like a quality control issue more so than a shipping issue since there was no chips in the porcelain, also they were packaged very well

Unit are as described and were shipped quickly. The package did not show signs of mishandling, but the units were out of the box and one was broken. I repaired it. They were packed well enough that handling should not have damaged them. a Puzzle

Great units, do the job and hold up better than the plastic versions.
