Think Big: Take Small Steps and Build the Future You Want

A marvelous read, filled with credible solutions to achieve personal goals
In this book the author takes behavioural science and really demonstrates in a really accessible way how it can be used to improve yourself and achieve your goals. While other behavioural science books tend to focus on the societal benefits of behavioural science, this book deconstructs the theory and applies it in ways that are really practical, often inspiring, and can be applied at an individual level. While I was primarily interested in the academic insights and hadn't really thought about really setting personal goals, I found myself reflecting on the exercises and figuring out how I can start applying them to my life. The book has a lot of fresh ideas, and helps reframe older ones in a new context, with examples of how they work in practice that help them stick in your brain. I particularly enjoyed thinking about how omission bias or action bias has been driving some of my choices without realising it.All in all, a really brilliant read! I recommend to everyone who has started thinking about how to achieve their goals and even to those who haven't yet really thought about it!

Not your typical self-help book, Great book for planning to reach goals at any career stage
Think Big was a very enjoyable read and provided a useful and realistic guide for achieving my goals. I am about to start my career so it came out at the perfect time for me. My background is in Psychology so I appreciated that the recommendations were based on Behavioural Science. I am also normally a slow reader, but I got through this book very quickly. I am sure I will have to reread this book many times as I progress in my career journey because I can see how relevant it could be for different stages.

Full of huge realisations and immediate insights.
One of the best, if not the best, book I've read on the subject of goal setting and achievement. - This book is a real gem of inspiration and guidance that arrived in my life at exactly the right time.I thought this book was superb, but more importantly, after about ten minutes I felt it was already changing my behaviour! After reading it just once, I feel so much more positive about being on track to achieve all I want in the near future.Lordan lays out her methods and thoughts very gently, with lots of good examples from real life, and a practical toolkit for achieving what you want in small steps that lead to incredible results. Everything is intelligently researched and well explained.I found it readable, funny, thoughtful, insightful, INCREDIBLY useful and, very very rare for a book, genuinely life-changing.I'm reading this book over several times to make sure that I have a full understanding of the proposed actions and to make sure that I actually make them a positive 'habit'.If you're like me and seriously pursuing your best future, buy this book and build a better life!
