Very show accurate!!! Not the perfect "heroic" image one would expect but a realistic design! :)
I really like this figure. It is very show accurate. If you are looking for a "Captain of the Space Garrison" image, I would go for ACT (Zoffy: Mebius special version has better coloring than normal version) I have all three: normal ACT, special Mebius ACT and this S.h.Figuarts.SHF has always been very show accurate in terms of design.ACT is more like an imagination of "how you remember Ultramen: super hero, heroic, perfect design, muscular), or their reapperarnce in 90s,2000s,2010s (with flawless design and big muscle)SHF is about: who they really are, how they really look like in reality: skinny, non-indentical left and right eyes, etc. And SHF really did a great job, this figure just feels like Zoffy was talking to Ultraman in the last episode.Given Zoffy's suit was originally Ultraman A-Type suit, which is skinny, thats why it looks very skinny compare with Ultraman B and C-Type.I put ACT Ultra Brothers together because their matching colors, heroic and comic like design and action effects.I put SHF Ultramen seperately because each of them remind us how they really are in their orignal show. So it is less impressive when you put them all side by side, because of their different color, different build etc. But it does looks "special" and "unique" if you do so, since we have never seen the combination of "Zoffy from 1966, Ultraman from 1966, Ultraseven from 1967, Jack from 1971, Ace from 1972, Taro from 1973" standing together in ANY show, (we could only see them all in their 1973 design in Ultraman Taro)And it is nice to see Zoffy, Ultraman, and Jack looks very differently with each other without needing to do different pose and different angle, as in the case of ACT (more universal design)P.S.: This Zoffy foloows the original design: double lines on the shoulders VS one line in modern design. It has not been consistent, I remember 1966: double lines, 70s single/double: 80s,90,2003 double, 2004: single, sometimes go back to double. (ACT use the single line design)And the "V" shape on his tummy is still curve instead of straight V since it was modified by Ultraman A Type suit.I recommend this set, but since I already have ACTs. It looks so nice. The only complain is the box is surprisingly small. (for SHF i ahve only gotten Ultraman 50th years edition, Taro, Ace and Moroboshi Dan, and Zoffy has the smallest box. I am waiting for Jack and Seven and I am sure they comes with more accessories.Edit: I forgot about the effect part: I love SHF's realistic beam effects, they are super show accurate. When I only had ACT, I didn't care about their beam effects because they look very comic like and too colorful (very beautiful to put it in front of a light by itself though... unrelated to the Ultraman figure).I love Ultraman SHF's effect, since they look almost exactly like in their original show. HEre ocmes the problem of Zoffy, he has never used his A Type M87 Ray in Showa era until in his own movie at 1980s. The only time this beam was used prior to that was by Ace Killer, which was a pink ball instead of a beam. So there is NO SUCH THING as show accurate since it has never been used... the beam was ok, but I prefer ACT Zoffy's beam better because, M87 Beam has always been more "imagination" rather than "reality", including its usage, power, and appearance, and ACT's has an extra effect that surrounds its arm, (feels like a Dragon Ball comic/anime energy) and it is cool to use that, and it can be used on other figure as well, I used it for Ultraman Dyna's ACT when he throw a baseball, which some Zoffy's M87 energy surrounding his arm...
