Great Veteran British Band
I love their albums from the 1970s, especially their first American release, and this recent live album is a great example of these wonderful musicians. Long live Kokomo!

Been searching for these albums in streaming format, settling for the CD
Bought this hoping to place this in the cloud on Amazon Music, but unfortunately, I can't. Still, this album is a gem! Brings back great memories and the music stands the test of time!

2-disc Kokomo/Rise & Shine
I actually bought this to get one song, which I used to do in a band back in the 80's. Overall, the discs aren't too bad. But I wouldn't have bought them for any other reason than to get that one song. I am pleased to now have this song in my collection.

Oh Happy Days!
This takes me back to being a teenager when life was happy and carefree.and to the lovely young man who introduced me to this album. Oh to turn back the clock and to do it all over again!

British soul at it's best!
Good to get this back. Great band from the back end of the pub rock days, fine British blue eyed soul band. And it's the right first album as there were three, I think, just called "Kokomo"!

Some great tracks
Like a number of other reviewers, was au fait with Kokomo from the pub rock circuit of the 70's and via "in-house goss" in NME - still have their 1st album on vinyl. A very impressive début album, with some outstanding tracks, such as "I Can Understand It". Wasn't familiar with the 2nd album and have to say that it lacks the zip of the 1st album; a rather samey feel creeps in. A reflection perhaps of some of the personnel changes? As another reviewer has said, worth getting for the 1st album alone.

PURE BRITISH FUNK AT ITS BEST
Kokomo were one of those rare things,a great British ssoul band, originally named Arrival they had a massive hit in the sixties with "Friends",Come the seventies a new band arrived, and a slighly softer cooler sound, that was so sweet and sensual that it bought back memories of the philly sound,to a whole new world of soul funk bands. The bands first two albums are bought together on this fine reissuelisten out for a exceptional version of Bobby Womacks "I can understand it" excellent stuff

British blue eyed soul at its best
Rekindled an old friendship musically listening to this, recall buying this in our local record shop back in the 70's after hearing a song on TOGWT.....still sounds great now...
