I like this author
being from Turkey, I enjoyed this author, I also loved "Serenade for Nadia", it involves the armenian history but written as a novel. author puts historical issues into novels and nice ways of presenting as novels.

Well named. Quiet and disturbing
The book started slowly, but after a few chapters became engrossing. It tells what happened quietly yesterday yet powerfully. It is not a hopeful book about humanity, but leaves you thinking about life and death, hope and despair.

Compassion
The ongoing plight of the Yazidi refugees is recounted in a tender tale by a mysterious, compassionate narrator, trying to save a young mother as well as his own sense of what it means to be truly human.

A real feeling for what the Syrian refugees have gone through
Incredibly well written and insightful. Also heartbreaking.
