A captivating read
Ah! Such an awesome read. I generally don't write reviews but this time around I had to as it was such a nice read.Once I started reading it was difficult to put the book down. Fast paced and full of amazing experiences from so many different parts of the world. I had heard travel makes you wiser and now I know why. The most beautiful thing was the way author has narrated all the travel destinations, I was able to visualize completely and for a while I forgot I am reading a book and not actually present there. All the finer details and different emotions have been captured beautifully with a nice touch of humour. It has fired up the wanderlust in me. I can't wait to go traveling and hope to undergo a transformation similar to the author's. Thank you so much Maverick!

Must read for all travel lovers
🌸If I had to say in one line the book is all about the author's journey from Miami to Chennai via Istanbul and Delhi and his musings during that.🌸The whole book is set up in first person narration of the author and his thoughts.🌸The author is a common man like all of us, but then occurs an incident in his life owing to which he had to travel to Malaysia, and then his endless journey began, he realises that he's a hodophileand knew that travelling will be his go to thing forever.🌸The beauty of the book is the bits of conversations the author has when he is on travel to other countries, his experiences, learnings, all of them are highly relatable🌸Apart from this the book also provides an essence of ancient Indian philosophy and how well it blends with the modern world accross the globe.🌸The most captivating feature of the book is the details of the places which the author provides, the people their languages, culture, mindsets meaning it very easy for the reader to visualise the scenarios.🌸 Recommended to all the travel freaks, and anyone in general who has their hair black without colouring them.😂

A good read
After reading the book I felt like travelling to places like - Nepal and Badrianth before I plan a trip to Europe. The book is descriptive and keeps painting a beautiful picture of the places the author has visited as you go along. I loved how the author has wrapped tidbits about our culture and philosophies within conversations in the book and the transitions from past to present are very smooth. The book comes around a full circle, it starts at Miami airpot and to know where and how it ends do give the book a read.

A delightful read on those lazy Sunday afternoons and a perfect chai companion!
I picked up a copy of "A Maverick's Musings" after randomly coming across the book on Instagram, and looking at all the amazing places visited. Was not sure what to expect, but loved it from the first few pages itself. The book is to be savoured like an afternoon chai, in sips and the occasional gulp, with a helping of savoury snacks by the side. I read it across several sittings, and highly recommend it for anyone interested in travel and cultures.

It’s a pleasure to accompany Ashokan Srinivasan on his physical and emotional journey.
The author embarks on a journey of self-discovery. His determination to see the world takes him to the Americas, China, South East Asia and our own India. His fluid prose and insightful observations makes this book all the more delightful. Making a silent prayer before the first peg of whisky...makes it all the more interesting!!!. It’s a pleasure to accompany Ashokan Srinivasan on his physical and emotional journey.
