Easy install just had to rout out one door frame like you do for a hinge. The other 2 fit with no modifications. Pre drilled screw holes and you can feel screws go thru door frame and into wall stud. Small screw is just for holding lock in place while installing but I added an extra long screw for added strength. Very solid lock and 1 man will not budge it. I'm about 300 lbs and just felt like hitting a wall. Only time will tell about durability but I'm more than very satisfied right now.

Good Buy
Very strong and it will take a lot of force to open when in the closed position. It looks nice and made of good quality material. Easy to install, maybe go up one size on the pilot hole to prevent screw breaking. I will recommend this product to anyone who need to keep a little one from opening a door or extra security for a door. Same security as a bar door but not the price. 10 stars!!!!

The short screws are worthless- the heads are too small for anything but the ONE slotted hole used for initial mounting.

It is easy to install and use. My young children can unlock the door and this lock at the top of the door out of their reach has given my wife and I peace of mind and added security. I appreciate that it securely keeps the door from your opening without having to put holes in my expensive door just the frame.

Definitely recommend
I saw this type of lock when I was looking to purchase a new house. I said to myself that o needed it in my life. I am so happy I found it. It is a sturdy product. The screws are super long so no worries about it coming out if it ever gets put to the test. A must have!!
