As these are very highly rated, I picked up a 6 pack to use in my indoor tortoise enclosure. I also bought an adapter DiCUNO E26 to GU10 Adapter(2-Pack) so that I could use these with my pre-existing, screw-in fixtures. Halogen bulbs emit significant UVA/UVB which is filtered out by glass, and these come with a glass cover on them. So for my use, I am removing the glass covers. I was able to do that by using my fingernail to go around the perimeter to gradually remove and loosen the gummy adhesive that holds the glass disk in place. You could use any thin piece of plastic to do this as well. With the glass removed, but bulb's UVA/UVB content will become available for absorption by the tortoise. (With the cover glass removed, do not touch the bulb inside as it will leave an oil residue that may reduce longevity.)

So far, so good! I can't comment to the longevity but the bulb is bright and warms my candle wax perfectly.

This was a replacement light bulb for my range exhaust hood and it worked perfectly.

I had to croos referance the item number then look it to get right bulb and you had it yaaaaaaaaaa

Lights are solid and bright. Hard to get in and out of base above the stove, but the bulbs seem able to take the pushing and pulling well.
