Skynanny 1.0 GPS Child Tracker

I was expecting something with better quality since I paid over 100dlls.My device came with an box that I would assume was already opened or was a previous return, since came with no instructions, no bag on the battery.I contacted customer service and send me a copy of the instructions and told me how to used it with iphone, customer service was fast.However when I tried to charge the batteries, charger will take forever and charge in the battery will only last for half day, device itself is pretty flimsy, poor quality since the cover for the battery didn't even close all the way, cover was misaligned. Charger is hard to use since cables doesn't fit all the way and at a slight movement it can be disconnected and not charge, also charger gets very very hot and takes a lot of time, which a find a potential risk.Overall good customer service but if the device doesn't work as specified is not worth it and for me looks that company doesn't have a quality control for manufacturing this device, very sad, because is good idea poorly executed.

When I sought out to purchase a GPS unit, there were a few things I was looking for. First, and foremost, the unit I was looking for would have to fit in a small location underneath my motorcycle seat. I travel immensely for work, and I needed some security and satisfaction in knowing that my motorcycle would be safe and sound when I was away from home. So, the dimensions of the unit played a key part in my decision. Other than that, I needed something that had an integrated battery (On the off-chance that the motorcycle was stolen and the leads connecting to the battery were cut) and lasted a decent amount of time on that battery, and could also be charged through my motorcycle's battery. This unit from Neit Enterprises fits all of my requirements with flying colors. I was able to fit the unit underneath my seat (with some 3M Velcro) and wire it up to my battery terminals with the provided USB cable (As well as using a battery tender cable and USB charger connector for it). The provided android app was a bonus for me as well. Once I received my SIM card from US Mobile (Got an unlimited texting plan for $9.00 a month), I tried activating indoors... And that did not work (it's in the manual. You have to activate it outside to get a good reading... I overlooked that part because I was being a bit lazy). But, after I went outside, it worked flawlessly! Everything works without a hiccup, and I am more than satisfied. I was skeptical at first when going with this product because of the higher price when compared to other GPS units out there, but that skepticism was put to rest with their customer service. When I received my unit, the battery compartment casing had a crack on it. I notified Neit Enterprises about it, and they sent out a replacement casing the same day, no questions asked. I got it two days later. You can't really argue with that type of service. Not by a long shot. This completely bests those expensive competitor units coupled with service for monitoring your vehicle. If I had any suggestions, it would probably be to give the android app a more neutral name besides SkyNanny hahaha. It's a little embarrassing when you have to explain to someone why you have an app on your phone called "SkyNanny" and have no kids :D Anyways, I look forward to seeing future products from Neit, and recommend them to anyone searching for a cost-effective method of monitoring your vehicle (Or kids haha).

The good.. Tracks kid without a 3rd party service. Basically sends GPS updates via SMS to an android phone. When it works, pretty cool.The bad.. GPS hardware seems flaky/inconsistent. Also, does not seem to use cell network location. it is frustrating to get messages from the device with null values for location.I guess if you where planning on tracking someone on a hiking / backpacking trip, this device would be awesome. Sadly, I would recommend getting a cheap cell phone, and paying for an app to do kid / real world scenario tracking. Unfortunately, this failed to track my family while I was on a work trip, and they tagged along to do some local theme parks.

I purchased it about a month a go. it came with no user manual of=r customer service numbers. just few peaces thrown in a box. I am not an expert so I don't know how to get it work so I searched online until I found the manufacturer and emailed them and until now now answer at all.

Once downloaded the app from Google it works ok for 3 days. Now i can not find it. Used it for my wife when she rode her bike.

I am very happy with this product!! I bought this for my son just because we had move to Italy...not sure about security here just yet :)I must said I had little problems because I am not Android user ( Apple) but they were very kind to explain everything to me and also they walk me through the process...they called me to make sure the GPS was working properly also :))thank you!!!!

I really like this... but the app for android would send different messages. It would send messages and say the tracker wasn't working and at the same time the tracker would be send me text messages. So the app wasn't so good.

I ordered this device based on the good reviews, but the device I got looks like a duplicate one, its build quality is bad, The two batteries are not sealed well and look like refurbished. Overall it is like $20 product, not worth the high price you paid.
