This toilet seat was heavy wood and good quality. Here's the problem. I got this to fit over a toilet seat riser that I use because I'm handicap. I had to doctor the part that the bolts go through that connects the riser to the seat, this bolts to the toilet. Because this style of seat comes apart for cleaning it doesn't connect right to the riser. You can't close the little cap over the screws and you can't leave it open, so I had to cut it off. I had to put a washer under each extender bolt. However be careful how tight you tighten the screw as it tend to pull up the end of the riser. Took some tweeking but I finally go it to work fine. If you want something really tight don't go with this style. Just get a standard toilet seat.

I really wanted a black toilet seat but struggled to find one that would fit well, be comfortable, sturdy, and also look nice. This product does all that. It seems very sturdy so far, we have used this for a few months now and it is still good as new. It is easy to open and close. The seat itself performs well and is stable when sitting on it, which is a must of course. I hate uncomfortable seats but this one is not bad at all. The seat seems stable and was easy to assemble. I think it is a great value for your money too, compared to other more expensive toilet seats.

I did a gret job of applying the screws as per instructions and my housewarming party was ruined because of the snapping of the toilet seat
