Cooler Master i70 CPU Cooler - 120mm Silent Cooling Fan & Heatsink (RR-I70-20PK-R1) - for Intel Socket LGA 11501151 11551156, coolermaster black, 120 x 120 x 60 mm

This is a great CPU fan. It was easy to install and is quiet. Does not interfere with RAM slots.

My stock i7 processor (4790) fan was slowly fading and I started receiving "processor over-temperature" errors. Bought and installed the i7 in late 2014 so at this point, failure was inevitable.Ran core temp monitor and found my four cores were hovering in the low to mid-90 degrees Celsius while under 50-90% load, which is not good! Ordered and installed this fan/heatsink from Cooler Master... and I am now seeing temps in the low to mid-70 degrees Celsius while gaming. Had to remove motherboard from case in order to install support bracket on the bottom side of motherboard but overall, installation was easy, <15 minutes.

I bought this for my bosses, I don't know how but 2 times with 2 separate computers they managed to pop off the stock OEM Intel heatsink in moving the computers 15mins to a new office. lolThese are a nice design that screws into the motherboard and do just as good a job if not better then the OEM units. I know that the fan will outlast their computers, I have used various cooler master fans in my computers over the years and if cleaned (and blown off stationary) they last a long time.Thank you for reading.

The install was a little cumbersome since I have an older ATX case with no access to the back of the MB, but the double stick tape was easy to unpeel and stick the bracket in place once the MB was out. All in all took about 15 min to install taking my time and applying just a tad more thermal paste then the provided dab on the heat sink.Headline is; under stress testing for 5 min with the stock fan it brought temps of 86°C max on my i7-3770 with the stock intel cooler, now down to 62°C max with the new i70 fan/sink. I ran it twice to check and sure enough the temps are way down. I was expecting about a 5-8° difference, but was pleasantly surprised.

I had water cooling system in this computer but after 10 years it stopped working. This replacement works good and it does keep my CPU cool. By the way The computer is still good after 10 years and keeps my granddaughter happy with fast playing Games...

PC was overheating and shutting down. Replaced cooling fan and it runs great.

Overhangs the RAM and PCIe slots on a Mini-ITX motherboard.

Quiet , low processor temp (previous cooling keep processor 88 now 73)
