I love that it's collapsible
Top notch so far! I think my only 'complaint' (which is minor) would be that I wish the little silicone rings around the handles were perhaps not silicone, as they are a little loose around the edges. To be clear, I don't mean loose as in something is wrong, I mean by design. But I worry I'm going to pull one off by accident at some point. I'm sure they're there so you can grab it after pouring something hot in it so that the metal isn't conducting, but it does worry me a bit. Other than that, this colander gets high marks. I love that it's collapsible, but the silicone rings are very sturdy, so it doesn't feel flimsy at all. And the red makes me happy, thank you for picking a fun color that's bright enough not to show stains, but adds a punch of color! But uh, I'm not at all biased, as I use red as an accent color in my kitchen... ;)

Form and function are superb in a tiny space kitchen.
I bought this collapsible strainer as part of kitting out of our new camper trailer. Space is at a premium, but we wanted all the cooking ware to be well made and multi-functional. This strainer is fabulous. The metal frame and metal bottom mean it has a sturdy feel and assures it does not flop and fail when it is being used. The expansion to full size is nice and deep, but it can be used in two less voluminous sizes for quick rinses of fruit or vegies. This is a wonderful piece of essential cookware if you need to save space but do not want to lose quality.

Perfect! Holds an entire package of pasta (actually, you could probably fit a second). Cleans really easily and holds its shape well.Edit: It was great until I tried steaming in it. The entire bottom melted off and I ruined my food.

Broke after 1 1/2 years
Really good quality, have had it for a few months. pricey for a collander but I really wanted a nice one I knew wouldn't rust, would collapse, and be able to boil in the pot and just lift out. I haven't tried that yet but I will soon. Update: did not try boiling in the pot and lifting, always just poured contents into it like normal. Unfortunately the silicone on one side tore like a month ago but my husband threw it out before I could take a picture. I bought it Sept 2016 and it broke Feb 2018. Since other collapsible collanders are only $15-$20 and this one is $30, and the others have almost the same reviews, I am gonna order a different one

Excellent for minimalist living!
We recently decided that we couldn't afford to consider moving to a bigger place and needed to make ourselves more comfortable in our small house. I've started working on really organizing and downsizing. Our HUGE colander took an entire shelf of a corner cabinet nearly all to itself. It seemed like a waste of space and so I went looking for one I could hang; but instead found this! I LOVE it. It folds out and in easily, washes up with ease-- and now it fits in a MUCH smaller space than my old colander or I can hang it on my pan rack by its handle. Excellent item for those with limited space to work with.

Great purchase!
I read all the reviews on this product before buying. I have had an enormous stainless steel colander for years. However, it's cumbersome and takes up the same amount of space as a stock pot. So I was looking for a colander that had similar capacity but less of a footprint. I watched review videos to try to determine size but found it difficult to figure out. Thus colander holds a pound and a half of penny pasta without issue. The handles are in a great location, they don't get hot and function perfectly.I am very happy that I bought it. It's a great replacement for my giant, space-eating colander.

Good but has issues.
I really liked this at first but after using it for a couple of months, I have a couple of issues. First of all it is great that it can withstand high heat. But it is too difficult for me to get it to pop open. I have to work and work at it to get it to open and finally just give up. The other issue I have had is the little red thing on the handle has come off which is also very disappointing.
