Great for rugrats
Toni Yuly books are my to go to books for baby/toddler gifts. Ollie is a nice addition with various sea creatures that speak to rugrats.

A Fine Board Book. Made in China.
This book has coated cardboard pages so that a baby or toddler can handle it without destroying it. Corners are rounded and the finish is smooth. Colors are bright. The story is simple. Ollie and Stella live in the sea. Ollie has a rainbow colored hat. )This is fantasy, not science.) A few things happen that are a little upsetting, like a big wave and the approach of a shark. Ollie feels surprised, grumpy, or mad, but he gets over it quickly. Stella offers to give him a hug. All is well.It is clear that it is okay to have feelings. It’s good to have friends. None of this is explained or belabored. It is just a matter of fact and this is short. The book does not explain that Ollie is an octopus or a Stella is a starfish. You can explain it if your baby wants to know. The artwork is delightful. On the back cover, we see a Little Bigfoot logo, a trademark of Penguin Random House. This is a product of Sasquatch Books, but it is manufactured in China.

Fun way to talk about feelings
This book is a fun way to talk about feelings, which is a terrific thing to get a child used to doing. In raising my child, I'm realizing that talking about feelings and dealing with feelings was not really dealt with effectively when I was a kid. I don't want to make that same mistake, and this book is a nice way to open that conversation.Ollie is a cute, loveable character. My child laughed at some of the antics. The brightly colored illustrations pop on the white background, and are attractive to little children.Adorable board book, great content. I recommend this.

Colorful and Cute
I love anything that helps teach my kids emotional intelligence. I expected this to be a bit basic for my 3.5 year old (I got it for my almost 1 year old to grow into). But this book has become one of my 3.4 year old's favorites. He laughs when Ollie gets disrupted by a wave, he feels empathy when Ollie is afraid of a shark. He often asks me to read it again. The colors are vibrant. There is no real story, only a few events to allow Ollie to feel some feelings. A hug is offered (yay consent) and given. There is plenty of room for the adult reader to further discuss the concepts of any given feeling or scenario.

Cute baby book about feelings
This is a great board book for babies to introduce them to the idea of feelings. It tells the story of the day of a little octopus and when different events happen, it explains how he feels in response to those events. It's very basic and easy for little ones to read or for you to read to your little one without them getting bored. The colors are vibrant and the illustrations are cute. My baby and I enjoy it!
