Please not that most prefilter filter housings accommodate filters of 20 inches. The smaller ones are used mostly for kitchen water purifiers. I am happy to atlast find a proper 20 inches ( Length) x 2 1/2 inches ( Diameter) filter. Why the 2 1/2" inch is important is because the end caps which are fitted at the top and bottom before the entire filter is fixed into the outer housing are exactly 2 1/2". I have fixed filters from other companies, often more cheaper in cost but the diameter of the filter is lesser- sometimes 2 3/8" and on even one occasion 2 1/4". This means that the end caps often don't fit unless some tape is rolled around the end to make up for the difference in diameter. This is the first filter that actually gets the dimensions correct. This means that the ends fit snugly, there is more filtration taking place ( because of the correct thickness). Don't go by price alone. You'll lose in other ways.And one more thing. Filters like these get clogged very often because they have small pores and trap even the smallest particles. So be prepared for cleaning the filter every 15 days. The best way is to unscrew the outer housing, then unscrew the inner filter. Then direct a strong jet of water from your pump( tap will not do). Under pressure most of the brown deposits go away and you'll regain 80 to 85 % of the original efficiency. You can do this 2 to 3 times before you have to discard the filter. You WILL HAVE MAINTENANCE. So stop complaining

Filter is nice but it is only usable for send water is good,if u want to use for mod water it's less worthy bcoz u have to change the filter frequently may be one filter every month.

It does its job efficiently and at a good price. No complaints, says a repeat/future customer.
