SHIMANO TR 100-G
I have bought and used 3 of these reels with 15LB lead line for trout fishing for years. They work very well. I had worn out my old, discontinued Penn 10's and stumbled onto the SHIMANOs while in search of replacements. It takes a little backing(I can't remember exactly how much) in order to fill the spool with 100yds of 15LB lead core line. The reel's correct line capacity is: lb.(yds.) 12(390); 14(330); 17(250). This would be monofilament. The line capacities that AMAZON has listed are NOT for monofilament. This is a light, tough, graphite/titanium, levelwind reel with a clicker that is well suited for trolling, downrigging, and bait fishing, and it casts well for an uncomplicated basic design if the fisherman does his part. If the star drag is set very light as for 15LB lead line and 8LB mono leader, the star wheel can be accidently bumped to almost no drag resistance, although I have not lost any hooked fish when this happens because I do not slow or stop the boat unless the fish is heavy or there is a double hook-up.The last TR 100-G I bought from AMAZON was "USED-LIKE NEW" at $45. It was perfect AND like new, even the box(Probably a returned reel). My best friend fell in love with these outfits while trolling with me so I gave him one of them for his birthday. That's what friends are for!

wrong discription
I ordered the TRN100G reel it does not hold 40 lb test line it's specs call out 12 lb test max. and only 250 yrd's of that test so I guarantee you it will not hold 410 yrd's of 40 lb test but if your looking for a lightweight reel go for it

Grrat reel for the money.
Great reels for the money. They are not bait casters. Great for bottom fishing and jogging. Bullet proof reels. Very strong and dependable.

These are great little reels for the price
If you are expecting more, you need to spend more. Nuff said. As far as the seller. I received the reel way late. They bribed me with a $10 refund so i would retract the feedback, so I did. Onward I fish

good salmon reel
smooth drag, good line capacity. works well on Pacific NW salmon. this is the second one of these I have purchased. the first did a good job for many salmon for years but was stolen out of the boat while camped in a state park. apparently there are roving bands of meth heads at work in some of our state parks.
