This item is a chisel spade head only, it is designed for use with a long wood handle, which is not included to reduce transportation costs and provide a great value. If you can not find a 1.5" diameter wood pole in your area, Aranyik offers a 40" Eucalyptus Hardwood Pole sold separately. Once attached to a pole it is used for for shearing bamboo runners for maintenance or for eating, shearing banana runners for replanting or maintenance, as well as harvesting potatoes, gingers, and other tubers. This item does not replace an O'o or giant crowbar for heavy duty root removal. However it can assist in shearing large roots. Edge can be maintained by round or half round file.

Cuts through the heaviest of roots
Good quality steel very sharp. A useful tool when planting or for cutting heavy roots when digging. I'm glad I bought it. I have no other tool like it. I also purchased the aranyik 40" tropical pole. A perfect fit for this chisel spade.
