Super sharp and durable

I was given a pair of these scissors to use at work and jumped on Amazon to see if I could get a pair for home as well. They are very sharp and very sturdy. I've used them to snip and slice through all sorts of paper, cardboard, leather, plastic, and may have even used them on rare occasion inappropriately to clip some small gauge wires in miscellaneous computer cables. The edges have stayed sharp through the abuse and I am quite happy with the scissors.

See the attached photographs. The part that I circled will pinch your skin if it gets in the way, and if you are cutting something substantial with it that requires using some force, that will hurt! Photograph #2 shows me gripping it, and you can see the vulnerability of my middle finger. What I did was to cut the edges down so that is more rounded and not square. The plastic on the handle is soft enough so that you can do that with a pair of diagonal cutters (what I used) or a file. See photograph #3.

I was looking for a cheap pair of sharp, industrial-type scissors to use at work, for cutting plastic packaging straps and I saw this Clauss add-in for about 4 bucks. I promptly ordered it a couple of days ago and it came today as expected, together with a couple other items I have ordered. It looked a bit smaller than I expected, but totally usable, the blade edges were razor-sharp and cut easily through the leather belt I have shortened which was also delivered on the same amazon box as the scissors. The scissors were brand new and was encased in a plastic and carton packaging which I had to cut open with another scissor. I tested the newly opened pair by cutting off a length from the aforementioned leather belt which was a tad longer than I need. The new scissor's blade were sharp and had no problem cutting though the belt. But upon inspection of the blades right after, I see a tiny nick on both sides of the cutting edge of the brand new scissor. Which looked like a damage you would expect from cutting something hard like a metal object. I doubt it happened when I used it to cut the leather belt, which was the only thing I have used it on. So now I guess I was a bit disappointed. If not for this, I would have surely given it a five star. Oh well I guess you get what you pay for, and for something which costs a little more than 4 bucks, you shouldn't really expect to get high quality products.

This scissors stays sharp, even after abuse. My previous pair was wonderful until it was used to cut metal! It did it, but was never the same. I use them in the kitchen to cut up food and, after washing, for paper and opening packages. I have never had a scissors that stayed this sharp for as long as it did.

These are exquisitely made and will cut anything from paper to hard plastic, to leather evenly, consistently, and like butter. Haven't tried them on sheet metal but I am sure they would work just as easily. All these boxes of 3-4 "titanium" clippers you get by the bunch are beyond crap compared to these. Yes, its only ONE pair but when you consider these are nigh on indestructible, of perfect construction, and made like a Mercedes, they are a steal. I wish I had know about them years ago!

I love these scissors! I had two pair for years. One in garage and one in house. Lost pair in garage, so happy to find them again. Old still sharp and handle very comfortable

Ummm, ok - must say they cut GREAT - but they sure aren't 10" long blades which is what I was looking for - DOH I should have read the fine print closer. So for all you other dummies out there who look at pictures instead of reading, you are buying about 4.5" of cutting blade. Great smooth cutting but not super long so be aware. Still I'm glad to own them.

Scissors were comfortable and easy to use. Very sharp too.

Brilliant value

Just received these scissors. I ordered them because I wanted something to easily cut through a duvet so I can cut into smaller pieces to fit into the dogs crates, my old scissors just weren't sharp enough! These cut through it like a hot knife through butter! These are super sharp, I was worried that if my finger was in the wrong place it would have easily gone through that too!!!! But luckily I was safe and didn't have to find out!Perfect scissors, perfect for what I needed! Very comfy to use!
