The Critical Reader: AP® English Literature and Composition

This is a remarkably good book. Ms. Meltzer has truly outdone herself. The book accomplishes its goal of providing an in-depth understanding and analysis of the skills and concepts tested on the AP English Literature and Composition exam. Although this is a test prep book, it is neither boring nor tedious. Ms. Meltzer selected a number of interesting literary examples to generate sample questions and essays. Her descriptions, strategies, and test tips all demonstrate that she has carefully studied all the released College Board tests. I strongly recommend this book to students who are preparing for the AP English Literature and Composition exam.
