Gibson Elite 16 Piece Rhinebeck Dinnerware Set

I bought two of these sets to give me eight place settings. They are as advertised. They are heavy, though, which I like. The pattern is beautiful and they fit in my dishwasher perfectly. The dinner plate is fully flat and has lip at the edge - keeps gravies on the plate without pooling in the middle like other plate designs do. There are two bowl sizes that work well for a small side salad and another for a big bowl of ice cream!When I received the sets, there was one dinner plate that had a chip in it. Return was handled perfectly and was very easy to do - no hassle at all... a company with honour!For the quality, the price is VERY reasonable. I recommend this product and vendor without reservation.

Really nice Dish Set. Look good. I find they scratch fairly easily when cutting food, but not too bad. They are great forthe price.

I really love how did it looked, it was just too beautiful! Be careful when it comes to the knifes because I got some scratches from it lately.

We got this as a wedding gift when we first married and loved this set, it is a bit on the heavier side but has lasted so far without any chips or breaks — they do get scratch marks from cutlery if you press hard with the cutlery but that can be buffed/cleaned out if you google how. Ended up buying a second set because we needed more than four sets and loved them so much.

UPDATE: After a few months with these dishes I have to dock them a star. Two of the small plates have now cracked unexpectedly, just coming out of the dishwasher. They haven't been dropped or put under any abnormal stress. I contacted customer service after the first one broke (less than a month after purchase) and never heard back. The second one broke last week so I will be contacting them again. Still love the dishes overall but hope I don't have to buy another full set just to replace these defective ones!We've had these for a few days now and we LOVE THEM. We've put them through all the usual rigors (microwaving, dishwasher, sharp utensil use) and they're doing great. Yes, they show scratches from silverware--I've never had a set of dishes that didn't, and this isn't that big of a deal to me. Yes, they are a little dimpled in places and not perfectly smooth; that's part of what I like about them! I saw some reviews from people saying the bottoms stay wet after washing and the water leeches out onto the dishes below. We have not had that problem at all! These are so beautiful and have an artisanal quality to them, but still very affordable and durable. Could not be happier with this purchase.
