Absolute junk. Avoid.
Literally fell apart instantly - absolute junk, do not buy it. First attempt at use I plugged in to HDMI and nothing happened on the monitor but my Mac flashed a bit like it should be, tried a bit more still no luck. Went to unplug it and the whole crappy thing legitimately just fell apart in 3 pieces. It's actually laughable how bad this is - check the image uploaded. How do I get a refund from an International location? Contact me seller.

Works good for the price
I got this adapter for my Dell XPS 13 and also tried it out on my friends new 12" MacBook. The adapter worked pretty well for both of us. There are two things that brought down the rating of this adapter.1. The build quality of the adapter is not the sturdiest; it feels very hollow and I feel like it could break easily. However, I think that the adapter is very light which makes it much easier to carry around while it is plugged in.2. The reliability of the adapter is in question. When I first used it, it worked like a charm, but last night I had an issue where the HDMI clonked out for a second. UPDATE: This adapter is almost completely unreliable and even if I don't move my laptop, it still doesn't work.Overall, I think that this adapter is a great deal and you cannot beat it, especially considering the $70+ price tag of the XPS and Mac adapters. Did not work as expected
Packaging of the YueYou Device:The YueYou USB C HDMI Adapter arrived undamaged, and was packaged in a clear ziplock style bag. The Adapter has a nice silver finish on the main body and the USB C connector piece. The connectors and cable are white. Plugging in the YueYou Device:I first connected the YueYou Adapter directly to my 2016 MacBook with nothing plugged in. I then connected an OEM apple charger to the YueYou Adapter. The MacBook did not receive charging from the adapter. I tried switching the order: first plugging in the Apple OEM charger, and them plugging in the YueYou USB C HDMI Adapter into the MacBook. Again, no charging occurred. The next task was to see if the USB port worked. I attached a 512 GB solid state drive from MyDigital SSD. The USB drive was not detected. I attempted to unplug the YueYou USB C HDMI Adapter and plug it back in. No success. Finally, I tried the HDMI connection. Again, no success. The HDMI video connection was not recognized either on the HP LCD monitor, or on the MacBook. It appears I have a defective unit, and will be returning to Amazon for a replacement. I received the YueYou USB C HDMI Adapter from Amazon at a discount for review purposes. This review is my honest and unbiased experience with the product.

Bought it as a gift to someone. Found out it doesn't work as expected. Only the USB-C female works.Waste of money.
