Q: Can this be used as a lower body trainer as well?

Yes ,I use it for my routine in back exercise. I use it between my knees squeezing the ball with reps. Very effective.

Yeah maybe. If you are trying to use it for full swing, it's pretty hard to do. Probably good for chipping and pitching. I'm not sure these are worth the price. :)

Q: Are you supposed to be able to take a full swing with this? I bought The large and can't get to the top of my backswing.

The item should not really be used for full swings. It really works best swinging half way or possibly 3/4. I work with my students using it to promote appropriate rotation and better impact position. Hope that helps. Regards,GLT Golf
