Vico Marine - Support Pole + Boat Vent 3 + Pole Base (28" - 47") GXP47A-1 PBR BV3 BLK - Easy Intallation

Do not hesitate to buy this kit if you need a strong, reliable, and easy to use pole system for your boat. I bought a couple of these in different sizes for my 18 foot speedboat. I recently had brand new snap-on covers made (one for the cockpit and one for the bow). After having used this pole system with my previous cover, I did not hesitate to install it on on the new cover. Installation is a complete breeze--measure the right size hole, cut, and simply screw the vent onto the cover. The adjustment on the poles is stellar--simply release the latch and slide the pole up/down.For me, the pole base is the real winner here. I keep my boat slipped in the water April-->October. It is imperative that the pole stays upright or else the whole purpose of have a support pole goes out the window and water is likely to run into the boat. The pole base has done a tremendous job of keeping the pole securing in its upright position and I have never had an issue it with falling over--including during several storms with wind gusts 60+mph.Please be sure to let me know if you found this review helpful.

Easy to install vico 2 is good vico 3 is great

Easy to install. The pivoting base is a nice feature, and they seem to be of good quality.

This is the second one I have purchased for a boat top. Works as it should.

I've been around boats all my life and have been frustrated forever with the quality of these types of poles. I always end up defaulting to wood 2x2's for strength, but they're hard on the cover. I bought 3 of these to add to the 2x2 poles holding up my 2014 pontoon cover (as the originals didn't last long), and now I'm ordering two more and doing away with the 2x2's. Good quality, great design, easy to use, and the adjustable height and square foot pad make for a very sturdy product. Thanks Vico Marine!

Like the vent system, and what appears to be a strong pole. Came without any instructions. Pole has a snap that does not snap into anything, and adjustable base pad that does not fit into pole. Box arrived poorly packed and open. For price believe they could afford to send instructions as well as parts that fit into each other. Very unhappy with purchase so far.

I was hesitant to spend this much on a boat pole but I wanted something that would stay in place and was sturdy. This is very well made and should do a great job of staying in place since it is attached to the cover and has a pretty solid foot on the floor. I'm sure the venting provides some benefits as well. I was initially afraid to cut a hole in my brand new boat cover but now that I've seen how the vent attaches to the cover, I am not at all concerned that the whole we spread beyond what I intentionally cut.

I purchased this item 1 year ago. When I reinstalled this year, I noticed that the pole cam lock was damaged. I contacted Vico Marine and they honored their warranty. Juli, the administrator, immediately responded to my email request. She promptly sent me the replacement part, along with shipping information. I received my part within 6 days of my first contact with Vico and had it installed. It worked perfectly. This support pole with vent 3 worked very well, last year. There was virtually no mold on the interior when I uncovered my boat in the Spring. I recommend this product and would purchase again.

Finally I found the perfect pole!I’ve had our boat for four years and I’ve been going through so many different covers because of the poles breaking and the covers sagging and eventually breaking themselves.I know you are supposed to cut a hole in your boat cover so this poll has a better grip but I didn’t even cut out my boat cover, I just place it under the cover and it sits there nice and neat.I love it. No more jumping in and out of the boat then having to start all over again because of the pole falling over. These will be the last boat cover poles I will ever buy
