Uses STAIN MAGIC is designed to remove rust and efflorescence stains on the surface of concrete, pavers, and natural stone. A concentrated acidic formula is diluted then applied to surfaces causing a foaming, cleaning reaction. This Cleaner is designed to pull the iron and salts out of surfaces, restoring the surface's former color. Rust and Efflorescence Rust is caused by the oxidation of iron within a material, causing a reddish-brown color. Efflorescence is a white hazy discharge of calcium carbonate (a salt) from the surface of pavements. It is a natural occurrence, caused by a chemical reaction by the ingredients used in the pavement. Both of these effects can discolor and mar the surface of hardscapes, but STAIN MAGIC by Black Diamond Coatings restores them to their former splendor. Application Process MIX. Dilute the product to the appropriate level with water. When using STAIN MAGICTM as an efflorescence cleaner, dilute 1:4 with water. When using STAIN MAGICTM as a rust and stain remover, dilute 1:3-6 parts with water depending on desired strength. TEST. Perform a small test area using the product to ensure suitability and the desired results prior to full application APPLY. Before use, consult our webpage to ensure proper application techniques, including Technical Data Sheets. Spray STAIN MAGICTM (appropriately diluted) on the surface. Brushing or agitating the entire area will assist in removing the efflorescence or stain. Do NOT leave the product on the surface longer than 10-15 seconds before thoroughly flushing the area with fresh water to remove the product completely from the surface. For deeply ingrained stains, it may be necessary to reapply the material to stained areas, using the same instructions. CLEANUP. Place any unused product back into original container to store for future use. Clean equipment thoroughly with water.
