Lovely story, good quality. The cover of the book is cardboard with the pages paper. I wouldn't buy for a small child as they can be ripped easily

My 2 year old son is obsessed with anything to to do with rocket ships and enjoys this book. I like the vintage feel to it which seems to be no problem to him. I knew in advance about the violence and took the precaution of slicing out the page where Donald cudgels Peg Leg Pete on the head. We are busy training our son not to hit people, so that was not an image that would have been helpful. The reverse of that is where Peg Leg Pete pulls a gun on them which we would rather not deal with for now. So two birds killed with one stone without harming the narrative to to a toddler mainly interested in the pictures.
