Kevin Belton's Cookin' Louisiana: Flavors from the Parishes of the Pelican State

We were looking for some new flavors and this fit the bill to perfection! We love Kevin Belton’s tv show which helped spur the decision to go in the creole/Cajun direction. We’ve tried several of the recipes but some of our favorites have been the cane syrup cake (OMG!), Capital meatloaf, slow cooked bbq beef and smoked meat gumbo. By far our favorite is the beef short ribs on potato waffles. All are so good but these were stand outs! Enjoy!

Was hoping for recipes that are shown on tv shows, but no! This will be the last cookbook I buy without being able to look at it. I wanted several etoufee recipes from the tv shows . Sadly they are missing just like so many other cookbooks ( Americas Test Kitchen, etc…) which are sold after a tv series . They all seem to delete really good recipes in the book. Very irritating in the least. There are many good recipes , but alas once again I’m disappointed .

If you're a fan of Kevin's, or want a great cookbook for your library, this is one to get!Not only is it a companion to the PBS television series from WYES-TV, it's also a great resource if you're trying to figure out what to make for dinner, Louisiana style!

Love Kevin’s recipes and descriptions! Used to go to his cooking classes in New Orleans. He is genuinely a nice person and very fun!

Good recipes but most contain cheese. I don't eat cheese, so that's a problem. I can either leave it out or try to substitute something or add more of something else to make up the difference. Wouldn't have purchased if I had known how cheesy.

Not a food money making tv recipe book that stinks. This has excellent tasting and not overly difficult recipes. Tested and pleased.

This is a nice enough cookbook. I have a couple other cookbook by this author and I love the other two books by Kevin. Some might not think this cookbook is as great as his other two cookbooks but I love them all just the same in my opinion they are all nice
