Escape to Riverside Cottage

Very well-written, extremely moving story
I really enjoyed this book. It’s set in the glorious Devon countryside, in a quiet village well off the beaten track. This is a very well-written, extremely moving story about a sad event that happened in this village, which is now causing the villagers a great many difficulties. But the book also includes a good deal of happiness, humour and love. Dogs and cats play an important part too, and are delightful to read about, as is the wonderful ‘feel-good’ ending.

A delightful story of new beginnings...at any age
I really enjoyed Escape to Riverside Cottage, and that's exactly what it felt like, a welcome escape to a peaceful Devonshire village, where life is lived at a gentler pace. I loved the humour, and the way Norton weaves a sad tale from the past into the present lives of the villagers, with all the difficult changes that brings. A heart-warming holiday/weekend read!

Very Good
I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought that I would, light and fluffy story a little bit unbelievable but it is a chick lit type of book and a few laughs, I would recommend for a holiday read
