Q: If my mattress weighs about the same as a gravity blanket should I sleep under the mattress?

The weight must be evenly distributed. A twin may work, but hopefully your looking at getting under a queen or even a king. You also may want to go with a memory foam mattress, as it will impress your face into the mattress itself. Springs may cause the bed to fold, as memory foam will basically contour to your head. Good luck!

Q: Does it come with a removable cover?

Yes it does! Our blankets come with an easily removable duvet cover made of micro-plush material. We have new ones coming out in navy blue, ivory and cooling material soon!

Q: WHy is this so expensive?

Part of the reason it's so expensive could be the fact that the blanket is machine washable. I have noticed that with most weighted blankets, only the duvet cover is machine washable--the blanket is not.

Q: what are the beads made of, plastic?

Yes, the inner blanket is filled with plastic beads. The outer cover is removable and washable. It works like a charm ! I go to sleep in minutes every night now, whereas before it would always take me from 30 minutes to two hours to fall askeep.
