Lighter and less dense than expected
I used this material as the top layer sound deadener in my twin engine jetboat motor cover. As recommended by the seller. I applied the S'mart RED 150 material over the S'mart Favorite 90 base butyl deadener. The Favorite material was quite heavy and dense and I was surprised that the RED material was quite light, similar to a heavyweight foam. i also found it a bit trucker to apply - Once the plastic backing was peeled off the adhesive it would stick to everything it touched so great care was needed to place it correctly prior to pressing it down. Overall, the two S'mart products definitly provided an improvement in the sound level over the egg-crate foam insulation that was originally installed by the boat builder.

works but...
works well for noise reduction.I had a bare panel that resonated with my exhaust. This product knocked the sound down dramatically. That being said it is not physically as advertized. it is not a dense butyl rubber. it is a light airy foam. but it works

So brittle, very annoying plastic backing, you get one shot to attach it, gets ruined so easily.
EDIT: After 4 doors, I hate this foam.. It is so hard to work on, it stuck on my fingers, making working on door panels a pain. And the backing plastic... Sooo thin, it ripped when I pulled it off, then the static cling... it will get stuck on my hands, OOOORRR, stuck to the foam and it will ruin it.Very unforgiving product.. many times it will accidentally touch something and when I pulled it off, it is ripped! I will not buy this again for sure.I love that it is SSSSSSSOOOOOOO sticky! But it is too sticky that when it touches anything, you can't pull it back, lol. Maybe it will be better if the backing is paper based, the plastic backing is annoying. It creates stactic, so when I peeled the backing, it is stuck to my hand and sometimes when I tried to pull that plastic off of my hands, it gets stuck back to the mat, lol. Also, once the foam is stuck, it basically ruined, I can't take it off at all, if I try to peel it off, it ripped. It is sooo brittle, I compared it with my old sheets of Raammat, it is thicker, but raammat is so much more durable, I can peel it off and redo it if I accidentally make a mistake

As expected if not better
Just adding to all others, this is incredibly sticky and very easy to apply. I put this in the back of the hatch (Hyundai Kona), along the back fender-wells, back hatch life, and inside all 4 doors. It did not make it super quiet like a luxury vehicle but it was noticeable. I had a colleague ride with me (not knowing the work I did) and they commented on how quiet it was. I personally didn't think it was THAT quiet as I had really forgotten how loud it was. But well pleased in the end with the results especially based on the overall costs and effort. Also doors are "heavier/more solid" on closing for sure - a really rewarding THUMP - bonus I suppose!

Quality padding, super sticky
Easy to apply. The backing is awesome. Restoring a car so not sure how the sound deaening is yet.

Excellent sound dampner.
Great sound dampner however, adhesion needs to be stronger, keeps falling off.
