Outstanding upgrade for 42 year old 10 speed
I have a 42 year old Ross 10 speed that I've recently gotten back into riding. Decided to try upgrading the rear sprocket from a 5 gear to a 6 gear sprocket. This Freewheel assembly threaded onto the rear wheel hub perfectly. I had to add 3 washers as spacers between the frame and the rear hub. After adjusting the Derailleurs, this old bike is now shifting smoother than it ever did. On closer inspection, the higher gears' teeth are actually slightly rotated to better grab the chain when shifting up, or drop the chain when down shifting.
