D.I. CASE Insulin Carrying Case 1 Each - Black

Useful, Discrete, but Small
I find it very difficult to find carrying cases for diabetic supplies. Consequently, I have bought many, most of which are not very effective. Like others, this product has its pro's and con's, although it's one of the better ones for what it is.Pro's: First, this case looks EXACTLY like an eyeglass case. This is a great feature if you are looking for something discrete. Nobody will ever suspect that there's diabetic supplies inside. Also, the hard cover means that your supplies are well protected. This is a feature that I have not found with any other carrying case.Con's: The case is small. It is as pictured. You can only carry two syringes at a time, which I find to be a major limitation. It also only carries two insulin vials, which is an obvious problem if you use more (at one point, I was on three different insulins). And the cover, which carries the alcohol pads, does not have a pouch. It is literally a single string that runs the length of the cover. So it's not a great holder and does not carry that many pads.

Perfect for purse
This is just what I needed for when I go out to dinner and need to use insulin before I eat. Fits in my purse and convenient. Wish it came in colors or prints.

long lasting
This is a very good case for insulin and syringes, lasts about a year of being banged around in my husband's backpack every day. Eventually the hinge gives out and it needs to be replaced. However, two of the ones we've bought arrived with the lining detached from the case and required a bit of crazy glue to reattach them. Once that was done they lasted just as well as the others.

Not very durable
The spring that held it closed failed after about a year, and the coatings on the case have been flaking off.Due to the spring failing, I've had it open and spill my syringes into my laptop back on many occasions.

Perfect for storing a day's supply!
This is a great product if you only need two injections a day. The picture describes exactly what you can put inside. When closed, it looks like an eye glass case and can clearly protect your insulin vials from breaking. I put a label on the outside so I wouldn't confuse it with my eye glass case. My husband sometimes forgets whether or not he has received his shot so I fill it the night before with all the supplies he needs for the next day. When opened, he can clearly see how many injections are remaining.

It is what it is...
I just needed a nice case for syringes and medicine. This one arrived already falling apart, with a warranty card. So I'll use it, but i'm not impressed and I won't recommend it. And I'm not really going to go through the warranty dance for twenty or thirty bucks. Just find a different one of these to buy.

Great case, buy super glue.
I had to glue the upper flap with Cyanoacrylate, the glue this manufacture uses isn't very good. Other than that I love it, it fits in the side pocket of my backpack very nicely and allows me to keep insulin and alcohol pads with me for my pump wherever I go.
