Definitely not waterproof

I got this to replace an old one that the top had cracked. I thought this one looked like the top would hold up better and be able to be used as a seat but we'll see...it has more give than I expected. The color is kind of bluish but that's ok. The biggest challenge was getting the top on. You will need at least 2 people, 3 would be better but I did it with 2, but trying to get the 4 "hinges" into the top was really next to impossible without a hammer. I got a rubber mallet and they snapped in fine though.

Keeps my cushions dry. Big enough for 4 chairs-top and bottom cushions. Looks nice and was a good price. 10/10

The media could not be loaded.  We just put this together to hold our daughter's recycling. My video shows the give when pushed/pulled. I really don't have a problem with this or that it's not waterproof- this is on our front porch under the roof. Without a lock it is not animal proof. The hardest part was attaching the lid. The brackets are sturdy plastic hooks (pictured). The directions say to attach the part that has a nub on each side into the base first. We didn't find that to be possible. It was too hard/impossible to get the "snap in" part lined up. So we suggest you snap in the hook to the lid first and then attach the lid to the base. I did notice that the housing for the "snap in" (which they call a window in the directions) is not very sturdy and will likely be the part of this box that breaks first. Opening and closing the lid will eventually wear out that joint. But there are 4 joints so it could still last a decade in our placement. For that reason and others, I don't recommend sitting on this box.

The only thing is putting it together. Not as easy as you may think. But very sturdy

Instructions were not super clear on how to attach the top. Difficult to fit the hinges onto the box. Overall nice looking. I am happy with the match to my other furniture. Box itslef is a little flimsy.
