The collar is strong, durable and very safe (the buckle works perfectly), but it is heavy, and for my young border collie girl, it's very heavy. I'm giving it five stars because I'm sure I will love it in 4 months.

I've been using Buckle-Down dog collars for years now. Both of my dogs are fairly large, high energy and rambunctious so it's critical that their collars be sturdy. The design on this one is especially cute, and I know from prior experience that their designs stand up to all the abuse boisterous dogs can dish out. Highly recommend!!

I have a 75lb lab mix and bought the wider 1.5". It was a smidge pricey for a collar BUT the quality/durability and the look are spot on. The seatbelt style clasp is literally like a seatbelt from an old 80s vehicle. It looks great and I have no doubt it will last indefinitely.

This collar is absolutely amazing, so durable and perfect size for my dog!! The colors are so bright and bold!
